This lovely perennial grows 3-4 feet tall, and sends up long spires of flower spikes that hold a series of white florets which display a touch of blush that open from bottom to top.  This particular verbascum is supposed to be absolutely pure white with white centres but ours have slight colour shading and darker centres.  While not long lasting as a cut flower (maximum vase life of 3 days; florets shed easily), it is beautiful in the garden where it can naturally shed it's florets and push forth secondary stems for continued blooming.  Stems full of beautiful green pods can be used in floral work.
